…W H A T A W E D D I N G
Now that I’ve got that out of the way I can go into more detail haha
Jen and Aaron had an Autumnal wedding at Sandhole Oak barn and the weather was absolutely glorious. With both Jen and Aaron having such a massive group of close knit friends you could already feel all the love before the day had even properly started. Getting ready in the morning with the girls was hilarious with hen party reminiscing, dancing and prosecco! As I was capturing the girls, my second shooter, Eve was with Aaron and the boys only a few doors down. Thanks so much for all your help on the day Eve, you got some great shots!
The ceremony was held at Marton Church which was the cutest, oldest church I’ve ever been in. And speaking of cute and old, Jen’s surprise ride to the church was in a vintage Fiat 500, which was just as amazing. When Jen started walking down the aisle it was one of those moments where even I started to feel emotional!! Hiding behind my camera though obvs.
Before the day, Jen and Aaron had expressed to me it was really important to spend as much time as possible with all their closest family and friends instead of being taken away for photos so we grabbed a few snaps back at the venue before all the guests arrived from the church. I understood this request but only after seeing how much of a ball everyone was having did I truly get why they knew they wouldn’t want to be away from any of it. Jen and I went to the same school, so there were so many familiar faces throughout the day and I even got to see some old friends which was lovely.
The speeches were highly entertaining, especially the blown up photos of little Jen! I just love that the Bride was getting made fun of just as much as the groom. The poem from Emma, one of the chief bridesmaids, was an absolute treat too. There were watery eyes from start to finish and not just from all the laughter.
There were too many people that made this day so special that I’m finding it hard to keep this short and not write a speech myself!
After the meal and a few more snaps with the amazing sunset (I couldn’t help myself) it was party time.
Now this lot know how to P A R T Y.
Oh my word. The dance floor was insane. A nice surprise for the guests was Ellie Sax who was incredible! Then the DJ decides to do a Bride and Groom dance off and I don’t quite know how to word this but IT WENT OFF hahaha. I don’t really know who won to be honest but Aaron really put in that extra effort by whipping his top off and I know the boys definitely think they won by the rowdy cheering. Oh and I think there was a broken leg from riding on the gorgeous bike (that had no brakes) you’ll see at the start of the photos!
Jen and Aaron, I had the best time and feel so happy I got to be a part of your wedding. You two are quite clearly made for each other and I don’t doubt you’ll have a big fat happily ever after.
